KAMO Electric Cooperative, Inc. d/b/a as KAMO Power (“KAMO”) in order to comply with FEMA guidelines, KAMO is hereby soliciting to Pre-Qualify Electric High Voltage Transmission Line Reconstruction Contractors.  The prospective bidders must have a proven history or “track-record” of the successful, on-time construction of Electric Transmission Lines from 69KV to 345KV.

In order to Pre-Qualify, the prospective Bidders must provide, via U.S. Mail, all of the necessary documentation listed below on or before, March 01, 2022 to:

In order to Pre-Qualify, submit all of the following documentation:

  1. Include full legal business name as listed with OSHA.
  2. A completed USDA, Rural Development, Rural Utilities Service (RUS) Form 274.
  3. A minimum of three (3) Transmission Utility references, preferably RUS Borrowers.
  4. A “Transmission Project List”, with the Superintendent’s Name and Resume’.
  5. The Transmission Utility reference contact name and telephone number.
  6. Acknowledgement that your Organization can provide Insurance to the RUS 830 Contract Provisions including, but not limited to $1,000,000.00 Liability Coverage. And, can issue to KAMO a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming KAMO as: “Additional Insured.”
  7. Acknowledgement that your Organization can provide a “Bid Bond” in accordance with the RUS 830 Contract Provisions (10% of the Amount of the Bid). Bid Amount includes contract labor as well as owner-furnished materials.
  8. Acknowledgement that your Organization can provide a “Contractors” or Performance Bond in accordance with the RUS 830 Contract Provisions (100% of the Amount of the Bid). Bid Amount includes contract labor as well as owner-furnished materials.

NOTE: The RUS Form 274 and RUS Form 830 may be found and downloaded from the RUS website.  Therefore, do not contact KAMO requesting these forms.

NOTE: KAMO will not be taking calls or emails regarding this solicitation.  Therefore, all communication shall be via U.S. Mail.

If a prospective Bidder is found to be Qualified, KAMO will inform the Bidders via U.S. Mail.  KAMO will not accept calls or emails regarding the status of Qualification.

(KAMO Power), with headquarters in Vinita, Oklahoma, is a Generation and Transmission (G&T) cooperative formed in 1941.  KAMO is owned by and provides power supply resources for 17 member distribution cooperatives in northeast Oklahoma and southwest Missouri.  KAMO is one of six G&T utilities that own Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc.
