Now Hiring: Subscriber Services Representative I
📍 Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

KAMO Power is seeking a detail-oriented Subscriber Servies Representative I. This is a non-exempt position that is responsible for effectively managing subscriber services communications with cooperatives, including addressing contracted cooperative general inquiry calls, subscriber turn-ups, troubleshooting fiber calls and other pertinent matters, at our Vinita, OK facility. Additionally, the role plays a key part in receiving and handling incoming cooperative inquiry calls in a timely and efficient manner, accurately entering tickets, and providing general information to subscribers while following established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming cooperative fiber calls and provide general information
• Resolve equipment and subscription issues per cooperative procedures
• Accurately enter support tickets with all required subscriber and issue details
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure subscriber satisfaction

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
•
Associate degree or 2-year technical degree in computer technology/network administration preferred.

• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of:
 – understanding of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services and internet fundamentals
 – customer service principles and call center operations
 – computer systems, software applications, and data entry processes
 – troubleshooting equipment and subscription issues
•
Equivalent industry experience may be substituted for formal education

Now Hiring: Substation Technician I
📍 Location: El Dorado Springs, MO

KAMO Power is seeking a detail-oriented Substation Technician I. This is a non-exempt position that is responsible for assisting in processing, maintaining, repairing, and testing substation equipment to ensure safe and proper operation at our El Dorado Springs, Missouri facility. In addition, it plays a key part in assisting with testing and maintenance of all types of transformers, breakers, regulators, circuit switchers, capacitors, switches, power panels, batteries and reclosers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist on energized electrical equipment (120/240 VAC & 48/125 VDC)
• Operate near High-voltage systems (15kV – 345kV)
• Assist with electrical testing and mechanical maintenance on substation equipment
• Assist in control wiring installation and grounding.

Qualifications:
• Associate in Applied Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology is required.
Equivalent industry experience in a related field may be considered for substitution of degree requirements.
• Basic knowledge of:
 – Electrical substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, regulators, switches, capacitors and battery systems (15kV – 345kV)
 – Electro-mechanical devices  and control systems
 – AC and DC electrical circuits and their applications
 – Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

Now Hiring: Electrical Engineer II - Relay
📍 Location: KAMO Power Headquarters – Vinita, Oklahoma

KAMO Power is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer II – Relay. This is an exempt position that is responsible for applying engineering techniques for substation relaying and metering design, NERC compliance, miss-operations, reviews and event analysis, communication equipment configuration and system protection with moderate supervision by manager, including assignments, techniques and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• With moderate supervision, generate accurate Substation Relaying and Metering design including drawings, specifications and material lists. 
• Perform relay settings calculations, coordination studies, and fault analysis
• Prepare and review relay settings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
• Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment
• Analyze system disturbances and outages; recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and field personnel on relay-related projects
• Ensure compliance with NERC, IEEE, and applicable industry standards
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians
• Assist with system planning, upgrades, and protection & control capital projects

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in protective relaying or power system engineering
• Working knowledge of:
 – Protective relays and relay coordination principles
 – Fault analysis and power system protection methods
 – SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, or similar relay platforms
 – One-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one preferred
• Experience with transmission and distribution systems, SCADA, and NERC compliance preferred
