Now Hiring: Field Systems Analyst II
📍 Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma

KAMO Power is seeking a detail-oriented Field System Analyst. This is a non-exempt position that is responsible for compiling data on all installed, modified, or removed electronic equipment and evaluating equipment reports to pinpoint problem areas, in our Stillwater, OK facility. This role plays a key part in supporting field technology systems, ensuring reliable operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain field technology systems to ensure reliable operation of communication, monitoring, and control equipment used in the field.
• Troubleshoot and repair system issues by diagnosing hardware, software, and network problems that affect field operations.
• Support system upgrades and projects by assisting with testing, documentation, and implementation of improvements to field and operational technology systems.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards while minimizing downtime.

Qualifications:
•  Associate Degree in High Voltage Line Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited trade school or university is required.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience required.
•  General knowledge of:
–    Fiber installations including underground and aerial construction on distribution and transmission line structures and assemblies. 
– Installation and maintenance of Point-of-Presence buildings, cabinets, and equipment on microwave towers. 
– Installation, configuration, and testing of networking hardware to include Ethernet switches, routers, and DWDM/CWDM/ROADM nodes. 
– Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Requires a combination of computer skills, troubleshooting, soldering and mechanical skills, to identify problems and perform precise repair work.   

•  Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and relevant field experience may be considered in place of a degree.

Now Hiring: Electrical Engineering Technician II - Relay
📍 Location: KAMO Power Headquarters – Vinita, Oklahoma

KAMO Power is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Technician II – Relay. This exempt position supports our protection and controls design operations at our headquarters in Vinita, Oklahoma. This role plays a key part in the development of substation systems and ensures compliance and efficiency across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in relay and metering design of substations
• Generate designs, drawings, specifications, and material lists
• Develop SEL relay logic, SCADA point lists, and communication processor configurations
• Prepare compliance spreadsheets and technical documentation

Qualifications:
• Associate of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronic Technology
• 2–5 years of experience in relay and metering
• Working knowledge of:
 – Relay event analysis and protective relays
 – SCADA systems and point list development
 – Revenue meters, power/current transformers, and circuit protection equipment
 – Wave traps, capacitor banks, carrier equipment, and reactors
• Equivalent education and experience will be considered

Now Hiring: Electrical Engineer II - Relay
📍 Location: KAMO Power Headquarters – Vinita, Oklahoma

KAMO Power is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer II – Relay. This is an exempt position that is responsible for applying engineering techniques for substation relaying and metering design, NERC compliance, miss-operations, reviews and event analysis, communication equipment configuration and system protection with moderate supervision by manager, including assignments, techniques and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• With moderate supervision, generate accurate Substation Relaying and Metering design including drawings, specifications and material lists. 
• Perform relay settings calculations, coordination studies, and fault analysis
• Prepare and review relay settings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
• Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment
• Analyze system disturbances and outages; recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and field personnel on relay-related projects
• Ensure compliance with NERC, IEEE, and applicable industry standards
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians
• Assist with system planning, upgrades, and protection & control capital projects

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in protective relaying or power system engineering
• Working knowledge of:
 – Protective relays and relay coordination principles
 – Fault analysis and power system protection methods
 – SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, or similar relay platforms
 – One-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one preferred
• Experience with transmission and distribution systems, SCADA, and NERC compliance preferred
