KAMO Power is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician II to support our protection and controls design operations at our headquarters in Vinita, Oklahoma. This role plays a key part in the development of substation systems and ensures compliance and efficiency across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in relay and metering design of substations
• Generate designs, drawings, specifications, and material lists
• Develop SEL relay logic, SCADA point lists, and communication processor configurations
• Prepare compliance spreadsheets and technical documentation

Qualifications:
• Associate of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronic Technology
• 2–5 years of experience in relay and metering
• Working knowledge of:
 – Relay event analysis and protective relays
 – SCADA systems and point list development
 – Revenue meters, power/current transformers, and circuit protection equipment
 – Wave traps, capacitor banks, carrier equipment, and reactors
• Equivalent education and experience will be considered

KAMO Power is seeking SCADA Systems Analyst II to join our team in Vinita, Oklahoma.  This position is responsible for administering, troubleshooting and maintaining all aspects of the SCADA system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain SCADA systems, including servers, databases, and RTUs
• Assist KAMO member systems with SCADA installations and configurations
• Install and configure PCs, servers, software, and office equipment
• Support and maintain building security systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot NAS/SAN storage, VMware environments, and network equipment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience in SCADA systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Proficient in PC/server hardware and software installation and support
• Knowledge of network topology and protocols including ICCP, RS232, RS485, routers, switches, and terminal services.

Now Hiring: Field Systems Analyst II
📍 Location: KAMO Power Facility – Spokane, MO.

KAMO Power is seeking a Field Systems Analyst II to join our team in Spokane MO. This position is responsible for the troubleshooting, installation, testing, and repair of a wide range of complex telecommunications and computer systems, including fiber optics, two-way radio systems, microwave systems, SCADA, and more.

With a focus on both field work and technical systems, the ideal candidate will bring strong experience in telecommunications transmission technologies and electronic theory. The role includes both underground and aerial fiber construction, equipment installation at Point-of-Presence (POP) sites, and maintenance on various systems and technologies across KAMO’s infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications and computer equipment
• Install and maintain fiber optics, looks analog/digital microwave systems, two-way radio, SCADA, MAS radio, and related systems
• Perform underground and aerial fiber installations on distribution line structures
• Splice and terminate OPGW and ADSS fiber cables
• Maintain POP buildings, cabinets, and tower installations
• Ensure work aligns with NESC standards and technical specifications

Qualifications:
• Associate degree in High Voltage Line Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline from an accredited trade school or university
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience; equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Knowledge of NESC standards, fiber optics and microwave systems, Ethernet/IP network structure, TDM multiplexing, and AC/DC power systems

KAMO Power is seeking a Custodial Maintenance Technician II to join our team in Vinita, OK. This position is responsible for ensuring KAMO’s headquarters and Vinita service center facilities are clean, sanitary, and well maintained while supporting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and maintain offices, departments, meeting rooms, lobby, warehouse bays, and fitness center
• Clean walls, doors, floors, windows, carpets, and office furniture per assigned schedules
• Maintain kitchens, including sinks, appliances, countertops, and on-tap beverage machines
• Clean, sanitize, and polish restroom fixtures; perform minor plumbing maintenance as needed
• Sanitize fitness center areas and perform towel laundry duties
• Remove and properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with environmental standards
• Maintain janitorial, kitchen, and supply storage areas; track and request supplies
• Perform minor building maintenance such as changing light bulbs and spot-cleaning carpets
• Set up tables and chairs for meetings and events as required

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in custodial or facilities maintenance preferred
• General knowledge of custodial practices and routine building maintenance
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail

KAMO Power is seeking a Lineworker I to join our team in Stillwater, Oklahoma. This position is responsible for assisting in construction, maintenance, replacement, inspection and repair of electric transmission facilities as well as fiber optic construction and repair to ensure safe and continuous service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance, replacement, inspection, and repair of electric transmission facilities
• Assist with fiber-optic construction and repair activities
• Work safely around energized lines ranging from 15kV to 345kV (including supervised hot work when required)
• Follow and promote all KAMO safety policies and procedures
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working condition
• Assist with power restoration during outages and emergency situations
• Travel within service territory as required
• Perform duties in various weather conditions and extended hours when necessary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience preferred
• Equivalent industry experience may substitute for degree
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Climber Certification required
• Current First Aid and CPR certification

• Design, develop, apply, and maintain protective relay schemes for transmission and distribution systems
• Perform relay settings calculations, coordination studies, and fault analysis
• Prepare and review relay settings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
• Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment
• Analyze system disturbances and outages; recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and field personnel on relay-related projects
• Ensure compliance with NERC, IEEE, and applicable industry standards
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians
• Assist with system planning, upgrades, and protection & control capital projects

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in protective relaying or power system engineering
• Working knowledge of:
 – Protective relays and relay coordination principles
 – Fault analysis and power system protection methods
 – SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, or similar relay platforms
 – One-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one preferred
• Experience with transmission and distribution systems, SCADA, and NERC compliance preferred

KAMO Power is seeking a safety-conscious and motivated Substation Technician I to join our team at our El Dorado Springs, MO facility. This position plays a vital role in supporting the maintenance, repair, and testing of substation equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the processing, testing, and maintenance of substation equipment including transformers, breakers, regulators, circuit switchers, capacitors, switches, power panels, batteries and reclosers
• Support restoration efforts during power outages
• Learn and apply basic maintenance procedures for high-voltage equipment ranging from 15 kV to 345 kV
• Support the calibration of gauges and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical devices
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, physical design drawings, and technical specifications

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in applied science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology required
• Equivalent industry experience may potentially be considered for substitution of degree requirements
• Basic knowledge of AC and DC circuits, transformer applications, and substation equipment maintenance
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings
