Telecom Transport Systems Engineer - Network Operations Center | Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

Maintain a regional DWDM, SONET, and MPLS Ethernet transport system that provides commercial services as well as internal communications to 300 plus electric substations and various remote offices. Engineer will also be responsible for the maintenance of Enterprise routers, switches, and firewalls.  Monitor the system and all customer services from the Network Operation Center, analyze events, and resolve all issues in a timely manner.  Create procedures, design and or modify service routes, send customer maintenance activity notices, and supervise remote system modifications.  Test and configure access equipment, Ethernet, TDM, and Optical services prior to customer release.  Coordinate performance tests by field engineers and technicians.  Initiate and track service requests.  This position will work a weekday rotation schedule of 10-hour day and evening shifts.  Experience in designing, managing, and provisioning telecommunications networks is required.  Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Management or related field is required (EE, IS, or MIS with a minor in Telecommunications).  Directly related experience may potentially be considered in lieu of educational requirements.  KAMO offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

Substation Relay Engineer | Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

Candidate should have working knowledge of substation protective relaying and metering design, AutoCAD, Schweitzer Engineering relays, substation equipment, schematics, wiring diagrams, relay event analysis, electric system protection theory, protection equipment testing methods, effective in solving relaying and metering design problems. Candidate should be able to communicate orally and in writing and must be a team player.  Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.  5-7 years of experience is preferred, however, less experience or other equivalent industry experience may be considered. Distribution Dispatcher | Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

This position will require great customer service skills and the ability to multi task between phone calls and computer data entry while taking incoming trouble calls from co-op members.  This full-time position is ideal for individuals with daytime obligations that accommodate working evening, midnight, weekend and holiday shifts.  Must reside within 30 minutes from KAMO Power headquarters in Vinita, Oklahoma.  A high school diploma or GED is required; associate’s degree preferred.  Proficient computer and typing skills are required.  Preferred experience in dispatch, customer service, call center or emergency service environment preferred.  KAMO’s Distribution Dispatchers are eligible for 100% paid medical insurance premiums, paid time off, holiday pay, short-term disability insurance, vision and dental insurance, educational assistance, an on-site fitness facility, and a 401(k) pension plan.
