Network Operations Analyst II | Vinita, Oklahoma

KAMO Power is seeking a Network Operations Analyst II to monitor a complex regional transport system and assist with customer service needs from the Network Operation Center.  This position will analyze performance degradations, conditions, alarms and events.  Position will also open trouble tickets and coordinate test and repair activities of appropriate internal or third party personnel to ensure a timely resolution of all issues.  Work is performed in shifts within a 24 x 7 environment with critical uptime requirements.  Candidate must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.  A successful candidate should have a solid understanding of data network and telecommunication theories that include:  MPLS, DWDM and SONET architectures, layer 3 routing, and OSI protocols.  Outside fiber/telecommunication plant experience a plus.  Should be able to work independently and be very skilled at analyzing and troubleshooting Ethernet, IP, MPLS, SONET, TDM and DWDM services and equipment.  An Associate’s degree in Networking, Telecommunications, IT or related computer science field is required.  Equivalent industry experience may potentially be considered toward substitution of degree requirements.  Also requires 3 to 5 years of experience designing, managing and provisioning telecommunication networks involving IP, MPLS, DWDM, SONET and Ethernet services.  This position is posted as a level II, however, it will be filled at the appropriate grade pay levels according to the experience and qualifications of the selected applicant.  The work location for this job is Vinita Headquarters Building in Vinita, Oklahoma.  KAMO offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical insurance and 401k.

Substation Technician Journey | Vinita, Oklahoma

This position will perform highly technical maintenance, testing, repair and replacement of substation equipment and facilities; and install mobile transformers.  Should have knowledge of substation maintenance, construction and testing procedures, along with electric power theory.  Must be able to read and interpret standard electrical substation layout prints.  Salary compensation will be based on selected candidate’s experience and skills.  Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline, with a minimum four (4) years of experience in all phases of an electric substation system.  Must possess a valid, unrestricted CDL.  Must live or be willing to relocate to within 30 minutes commuting distance of the Vinita, Oklahoma work location.  KAMO offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including paid medical insurance and enhanced 401-k pension plan.

Field Systems Analyst II | Telecommunications Department | Neosho, Missouri 

Install, troubleshoot, test, splice and maintain various types of optical and copper cables and related hardware on fiber transport and substation communications equipment.  Climb communication towers and distribution power line structures.  Associate’s degree in High Voltage Line Technology, Electronics, Electrical  Engineering Technology or related discipline, with 3-5 years of experience.  Must live within 30 minutes commuting distance of the Neosho, Missouri work location.  KAMO offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

Lineworker I | Muskogee, Oklahoma

This position will assist in construction, maintenance, replacement, inspection and repair of electric transmission facilities as well as fiber optic construction and repairs.  Should have knowledge of transmission line structures, assemblies and hardware; transmission line applications and maintenance procedures.   Must be able to operate personal protective equipment (PPE), digger/derrick, pressure digger, basket truck, UTV, trailers, hot sticks, hand tools and portable power tools.  Salary compensation will be based on selected candidate’s experience and skills.  Associate’s degree in a related discipline, with at least one (1) year of related experience.  Must possess a valid, unrestricted CDL.  Must live or be willing to relocate to within 30 minutes commuting distance of the Muskogee, Oklahoma work location.  KAMO offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including paid medical insurance and enhanced 401-k pension plan.

Accountant III | Vinita, Oklahoma

Must have a general understanding of the RUS Uniform System of Accounts principles and procedures as they relate to a rural electric utility and telecommunications subsidiary. Minimal supervision in performing tasks, progressing towards a lead role on the KAMO Accounting and Finance team.  Prepare various journal entries, maintain reconciliations, prepare various RUS schedules and forms and other related accounting duties.  Experience with Dynamics SL software is a plus.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with six (6) or more years experience is preferred.  Directly related experience with an electric utility or an accounting firm may be substituted at a rate of two years experience for one year of education.
